The HoneyComb Engine is the CRPG expression of the same world and the same philosophy as The Story Cauldron. Where The Story Cauldron is a lean tabletop framework for collaborative storytelling, The HoneyComb Engine is a simulation — a world that exists in three dimensions, built from discrete units, animated by animist physics, and governed by spoon theory economics.
Both projects ask the same central question. The CRPG asks it spatially: what does it cost to change this place, and what kind of change will last?
This section documents the engine's design: its prismatic cells, its physics, its resource model, and the open questions that remain. The HoneyComb Engine is further from completion than The Story Cauldron. This section is a living document.
